About the Land Trust
Every year beautiful and valuable open space is lost to development. To address and mitigate this, a group of concerned citizens founded the Hilton Head Island Land Trust in 1987.
Our Organization
Hilton Head Island Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1987 for the purpose of protecting significant parcels of land on Hilton Head for the enjoyment of future generations. The Land Trust consists of a 12 member all volunteer Board of Directors and dedicated members. We have no paid staff and all operations are accomplished by our volunteer board and members.
